FEBRUARY 2023 • NSS Unit I & Unit II organized special Camp at Mandalavadi and Kunnathur village on 6.02.2023 to 12.2.2023. • Ms.R.Mahalakshmi Head and Assistant Professor Department of Foods and Nutrition has act as resources Person at Islamiah College, Autonomous Vaniyambadi (NSS Camp) on the Topic Types of Millets and its Usages at Government High School Chikkanan Kuppam on 26.2.2023. • Ms.N. Pragathi Assistant Professor Department of Foods and Nutrition has act as a Resource Person at Konnathur, NSS Camp on 7.2.2023. • The Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony (MOU) between PG & Research Department of Foods and Nutrition, Marudhar Kesari Jain College for Women & Deepam Hospitals, Chennai, was held on 11th February 2023 at Marudhar Kesari Jain College for Women, Vaniyambadi. Student Progression • B.Sc Nutrition, FSM & Dietetics participated 7days Special NSS camp held at Kunnathur and Mandalavadi from 06.02.2023 to 12.02.2023. • PG Department of Foods and Nutrition conducted Extension Activity and Community Nutrition Survey on 07.02.2023. • Ms. Bushra Kulsum B, of I B.Sc Nutrition, FSM & Dietetics won III Prize in State level Essay Writing Competition titled ‘Urdu aur Social Media’ conducted by Urdu Research Centre, Vaniyambadi on 07.02.2023. • Ms. Salma Nawal .V of II B.Sc Nutrition, FSM & Dietetics won III Prize in State level Essay Writing Competition titled ‘Urdu aur Social Media’ conducted by Urdu Research Centre, Vaniyambadi on 07.02.2023. • PG Department of Foods and Nutrition conducted Extension Activity and Community Nutrition Survey on 07.02.2023. • 47 students and 2 Faculty members visited Pudur Nadu village and also created awareness on Health and Hygiene through a talk by Faculty members. • Students actively participated through activities like Drama: Healthy Family Vs Unhealthy Family, Nutrition Education, Games on finding the Food items and also given low cost protein rich supplementation.
