CANCER DETECTION CAMP



              On Occasion of 150th birth day Celebration of  Mahatma Gandhi and Youth Awakening day, Sri Marudhar Kesari Jain trust,Vaniyambadi in association with SADHBAVANA SEVA TRUST, New Delhi conducted free Cancer detection camp on 15.10.2018 and 16.10.2018 for Parents(225) and Staff members.. The camp was organised by Department of Nutrition,FSM and Dietetics, National Service Scheme(NSS), Youth Red Cross(YRC) and Red Ribbon Club (RRC).

       R.Mahalakshmi,  Professor and Head of the department (Nutrition , FSM and Dietetics) was invited as a Guest Speaker (Importance of Nutrition  to adolesence)– Saraswathi Vidhyalaya Hr.Sec.School, K.V.Kuppam and (Special reference to Millets)- K.M.G. College of Arts and Science Gudiyattam on 27.09.2018.
       Health education plays an important role in the community hygiene. To prevent illness and have positive health attitude, correct and complete knowledge of health is necessary. Health is cleanliness and cleanliness is one of the main defenses against diseases, whether contagious or self-generated. In this lesson we will discuss the actual meaning of health and hygiene, so that the aim of good health can be achieved through sanitary habits and healthy way of living.
       
        Hygiene is a set of practices performed to preserve health. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), "Hygiene refers to conditions and practices that help to maintain health and prevent the spread of diseases. Many people equate hygiene with 'cleanliness,' but hygiene is a broad term. It includes such personal habit choices as how frequently to bathe, wash hands, trim fingernails, and change clothing.
